Web-Series: Rekindling
A Six-Episode Web Series created during the pandemic. Copyrighted and apart of WGA. Winner of Romance and Relationships Festival.

"Gwen and James are superbly written. They instantly feel human, authentic and alive on the page, which is exactly what you want, considering a low page count."

"The premise is engaging as it is ultimately relatable. In addition to this, the non-linear structure is truly where this script shines! Your pacing and ability to jump between scenes, intercut dialogue and keep the story moving is very impressive."

"Due to the amount of potential around the premise and the characters, you do have the scope to lengthen this script to an appropriate pilot length, so that could be worth considering, depending on your hopes for this story"

"The formatting within this script is spot on from beginning to the end. You clearly have a knack for story but in this medium, formatting is just as important. There is a great balance between the dialogue and the action and enough white space on each page to not hold back the read."
"Overall, Rekindling is incredibly likeable and enjoyable from beginning to end. You write with confidence, style and potential."

DIRECTING
"Like Sunshine" by Nancy Scorcia

"Like Sunshine is a song my mother wrote for her album Happy. She asked me to make her a music video, and when I asked her what she had in mind, all she said was that she knew I would come up with something.

Well, to my understanding, the journey of the song is to capture the beauty in nature and our world, and to remind people who are struggling through sadness that things will get better, and to hold out hope for that light and warmth to return to your life, and most importantly, to your perspective.
I knew if the lyrics of the song were sending a message of such heart in lyrics about rainbows and sunshine, then the visuals needed to as well. So, I made a story board about a pillow named Smiley who gets lost, and makes his way back home.
As for my mother, I felt it was best to dress her up in different aesthetics to help capture who she is. In the big pink dress, that is how I see her. Someone with an outward persona of joy and creation, singing in a big Sound Of Music field. In the second setting, in her brown coat, boots and sunglasses, that's her core identity. She's a Steve Nicks gal. Boho Rock. And the last style, that's how she represents herself to the world. Casual, put together, and above all, talented and beautiful.

This was a simple family project, filmed on an iPhone. But an opportunity for story telling and artist collaboration. "
